Bus54 live at Berlin!

The Strategic Partnership Technology in Africa (SPTA) held its first annual event since the Covid-19 outbreak on Tuesday 31 May 2022 at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in Berlin.

Bus54 was represented by Ezra Anajonu in an audience made up of founders, industry representatives, and passionate individuals who share a common passion for breaking down barriers and making a difference in Africa. Ezra's key takeaways were:

1. Public-private partnerships will be a vital contributor to accelerated development in Africa.
2. Success for corporate innovation teams should not be focused only on profitability but also on spin-off technologies
3. Bottom-up engagement by African start-ups with African governments. While focus is on engagement at the federal level, which takes longer to build, starting at local level may be easier.
4. Support and regulatory approval for groundbreaking innovation in building construction by Dr Dust and his team at Polycare.

At Bus54, we believe in collaboration and look forward to working closely with the Strategic Partnership Technology in Africa (SPTA) team at GIZ to build the digital infrastructure that will power passenger road transportation for over 1 billion Africans.
